HAIR CLASS MADE SIMPLE

Sara has designed this class for the beginner hairstylist wanting to add hair to their existing list of services. 

 

This one on one class, runs through the fundamentals of hairstyling, as well as giving you the knowledge and skills of becoming more confident in hair for events. 

 

Sara will begin by breaking down the myths of hair as well as teaching you 3 classic styles.  Learn the key fundamentals and design principles to hairstyling using some of our favourite products and partners, GHD, Whitesands and KYK. 

​

During this 6 hour class we will uncover the techniques on how to achieve that perfect bridal/event hair, from the classic textured pony to modern boho beach bridal.  We will also go through product choice and prepping the hair correctly whilst learning how to troubleshoot. ​

INFORMATION ON OUR COURSES 

​

PREREQUISITE:

Students must be  a minumum of 16 years of age or over at the starting date of the course.

 

STUDENT KITS:

As part of any course, materials, tools and equipment must be used in order to take part in our courses. Hair mannequins will be supplied, students are encouraged to bring their own. 

​

DUE to COVID-19 all students must have their own working makeup kit for the duration of the course.

Why do students need a kit? Due to the current pandemic Makeup HQ has a strict workplace health and safety standard for our trainers, students and clients. Students can purchase their own mannequin stand and mannequin at any good hair supply. Hairspray, setting spray, texture spray, volume powder will be supplied for the course. Students will need to have a small working kit for the class. 

 

MODELS:

Students can work on mannequins, but can also bring in models to work on. 

​

EQUIPMENT 
Students will need the following for the 4 week long hair styling course.

Hair padding/hair donuts,  tail comb, soft paddle brush, crocodile clips, various coloured bobby pins, duck bill sectioning clips, elastic bands, hat elastic.

Students will also need to bring to class:

  • Professional Hair Dryer

  • Professional  Curling Wand

  • Professional Straigthener with temperature gauge.
